Sharan Forest Location & Distance:

The Beautiful green thick and dark dense Forest known as Sharan or Sharin is the most beautiful forest in the Kaghan Valley. It is situated near Paras and Pars is 28 km from Balakot and 220 km from Islamabad. Sharan can be reached by jeep track from Pars. Which is around 10 km approximately.

Sharan Forest Pods:

KPK Government has constructed pods for tourists at this place. Pods are very neat and clean condition. There are two types of pods double beds and four beds with attach bathroom. Kitchen facility is also available. All basic facilities electricity, bathrooms, 24 hours running water and restaurant are also available. These pods can be availed through online booking. Which costs around 6000 to 9000.

There is a luxury Chinar Resort Hotel also available for night stay before Sharan actual pods location.

Pakistan Youth Hostel Association PYHA:

Sharan also has antique Forest House and Pakistan Youth Hostel building. The building of Pakistan Youth Hostel is not usable due to its dilapidated condition. My friends request to restore this building so that tourists can fully enjoy this place.

Sharan Forest Weather:

Sharan is a very beautiful and peaceful place. Forest gets quite cold at night, so it is important to have warm clothes. During the summer, the weather at this place is quite good during the day, but at night it gets very cold and in the winter it snows a lot.

Animals of Sharan

A lot of rare herbs and wildlife are found in this place. There is a large number of wildlife in Sharan, with leopards, bears, monkeys, wolves and jackals being common.

Manshi Top:

Beyond Sharan, the river and Manshi Top are hiked, which takes up to two hours. Its height is 9000 feet. Munshi Top is the best place from where the view of Shogran, Sri Paya and Musa ka Massla is visible for breathtaking views.

Manshi Top is the best place for top trekking which is not too difficult. By going to such beautiful places, one feels that now he can spend his whole life in this peaceful environment.
